How does unripe pawpaw relate to ulcer;
Let’s take a quick look on this and ulcer definition.
Unripe green pawpaw is reported to be one of the earliest substances used in wound care. The phytochemical constituents of green pawpaw possess anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory properties. Therefore, the extracts of green pawpaw help to reduce skin inflammation and also promote wound healing.
The wound healing property of green pawpaw is mainly attributed to papain and chymopapain, the enzymes that exert an ulcer protective effect.
Papain also digests necrotic tissue and prevents wound infections.
What Is Ulcer?
When your stomach’s healthy, it’s coated in a layer of sticky mucus. This protects it from the harsh acid that breaks down your food. If something upsets this balance, you end up with more stomach acid and not enough mucus. Over time, that acid gnaws away at the tissue that lines your stomach. The painful and sometimes bloody open sore it causes is called An Ulcer.
Some are tiny, while others are over an inch long
What is a stomach ulcer?
Stomach ulcers, which are also known as Gastric ulcers, are painful sores in the stomach lining. Stomach ulcers are a type of peptic ulcer disease.
Peptic ulcers are any ulcers that affect both the stomach and small intestines.
Stomach ulcers occur when the thick layer of mucus that protects your stomach from digestive juices is reduced. This allows the digestive acids to eat away at the tissues that line the stomach, causing an ulcer.
Stomach ulcers may be easily cured, but they can become severe without proper treatment.
Causes of ulcer;
The most frequent cause of Ulcer isn’t stress or super spicy food. Those only make the problem worse.
A bacteria in your gut called Helicobacter pylori(H Pylori) is often the culprit,It inflames your stomache wall until an ulcer forms. Its not yet clear how you get this bug. It may be spread through close contact like kissing or through tainted food or drink.
Pain killers can cause trouble. You should develop ulcer if you are a regular user of some over the counter pain killers like aspirin, ibrufen,ketoprofen or naproxen. When you take these nonsteroidal anti inflammatory drugs( NSAIDS) too often or for a long time,they inflame the lining of your stomache.
Your ulcers wont have a chance to heal until you stop taking them
